How we do it
By providing
Coaching+
At Maximy, we define coaching as “a conversation that explores and aims to improve a coachee’s wellbeing, performance and development by supporting and challenging their self-awareness and resourcefulness.”
Coaching enhances the quality of your thinking: helping you understand issues more clearly, see through your blind spots, and make more considered decisions. It aids you to see yourself as others see you and understand why people around you are doing what they do.
A coach isn’t there to give you advice, give you answers, judge you, or have an agenda on you. They also aren’t a mentor, a tutor, or a therapist. They act as your thinking partner and provide a safe, non-judgemental space for you to hypothesise, test and play with different ways to improve your success, wellbeing & positive impact, and to better support the success, wellbeing & positive impact of those around you.
All our coaches are accredited with one or more of the recognised coaching bodies (AC, ICF, EMCC).
We call our service Coaching+ because not only do we offer highly qualified coaches, but we also offer various additions you can choose from; including:
- Frameworks & Models
- Psychometrics & Questionnaires
- Content
Tutoring+
In our rapidly changing world, it’s necessary to be constantly learning new knowledge, skills and capabilities. It’s key that we are willing to continuously learn, unlearn, relearn, develop, practise, and experiment. As a result, tutoring is becoming increasingly important.
At Maximy, we define tutoring as “a learning exchange whereby a subject matter expert aids another person to learn and develop a specific KSC (knowledge, skill or capability).”
This service is called Tutoring+ because we offer experienced tutors, plus various additions you can choose from; including:
- Frameworks & Models
- Questionnaires
- Content
- Practice Ninjas

Discover our programme and services that aid you and your colleagues to build the absolute core to being the Best Possible Leaders you can be – that is, high self-awareness and excellent self-management skills. The absolute core to being the Best Possible Leader is having high self-awareness & disciplined self-management. Without which it is not possible to be a great leader of self, let alone of others, an organisation or community.
Trying to lead without a strong leadership core of self-awareness and self-management is like trying to sail without a rudder, going into battle without a strategy, hiking without a compass - essentially moving without consciousness, operating unchecked. It sounds ridiculous, but so many leaders lack this leadership core. When leaders have it, it’s a great source of competitive advantage.
Our Understanding & Managing Yourself Services help develop you and your people’s leadership core, so you can better enable success, wellbeing & positive impact.
All other leadership capabilities build on this essential core.

1. Step Back & Ask
Key to your people being the Best Possible Leaders they can be is regularly taking the time to Step Back and Ask about their personal and collective leadership.
Their Personal Leadership
Each of your people Step Back and Ask about their current situation – “What are all the things I’m trying to achieve and why? How is it going for me?”
Then they answer two ‘Leadership Meta-Questions’:
"Am I being the Best Possible Leader I can be?"
"How can I better contribute to the success & wellbeing of myself, my family, my team, organisation and the wider community?”
Their Collective Leadership
As a group of leaders, your people Step Back and Ask about their current situation – “What are all the things we are trying to achieve and why? How is it going for us?”
Then they answer two ‘Leadership Meta-Questions’:
"Are we being the Best Possible Leaders we can be?"
"How can we better contribute to the success & wellbeing of ourselves, our families, our teams, organisation and the wider community?”
2. Reflect & Analyse
Through the BPL Capabilities Analysis Framework, we help your people to benchmark themselves against evidence-based capabilities that contribute to success & wellbeing.
This can be self-reports but preferably via a 360 that includes their stakeholders (family, friends, boss, work colleagues, etc.) It helps highlight leadership and role-specific development areas.
We help them process their needs and build a practice of reflection and perspective-building through constructive dialogue.
3. Decide & Plan
With thought-provoking incisive coaching questions, we help your people to challenge and test any assumptions before they prioritise their learning journey, choose the development method/service, outline clear goals and create a feasible plan.
4. Take Action & Measure Impact
In Taking Action, we help them use an agile and iterative method, where they learn, experiment with their development, practise and apply the learning. They build a practice of reflection, gain self-awareness and thus grow.
The system allows them to Measure Impact through the learning of the stories of their journeys promulgated with stakeholders, and share their successes to inspire others.
They build their analytics, which aids them, their stakeholders and your organisation to thrive.
